Seminar on Drug Abuse Prevention at Samnabad College for Women
A seminar was held by Aghaz-e-Nau (a nonprofit organization) and Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), Pakistan in collaboration with Samnabad College for Women, Lahore on 24th March, 2011. Chief Guest , Mr. Muhammad Altaf Qamar, Deputy Director General, Anti Narcotics Force, Pakistan joined the event to grace the occasion. The seminar was carried out to introduce the objectives of “Drug Free Lahore City Project” and to educate young students on harmful effects of drug abuse. The Seminar started with The National Anthem. Comparing was done by Ms. Saira, one of the students of Samnabad College for Women. The formal session started with the Recitation of Qur’an followed by Naat by Ms. Varda, one of the students of Samnabad College. Ms. Maria Ali, Drug Demand Reduction Officer, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), Punjab gave a presentation on Classification of drugs and how drugs are used.
