Seminar on Drug Abuse Prevention at Samnabad College for Women

A seminar was held by Aghaz-e-Nau (a nonprofit organization) and Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), Pakistan  in collaboration with Samnabad College for Women, Lahore on 24th March, 2011. Chief Guest , Mr. Muhammad Altaf Qamar, Deputy Director General, Anti Narcotics Force, Pakistan joined the event to grace the occasion. The seminar was carried out to introduce the objectives of “Drug Free Lahore City Project” and to educate young students on harmful effects of drug abuse. The Seminar started with The National Anthem. Comparing was done by Ms. Saira, one of the students of Samnabad College for Women. The formal session started with the Recitation of Qur’an followed by Naat by Ms. Varda, one of the students of Samnabad College. Ms. Maria Ali, Drug Demand Reduction Officer, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), Punjab gave a presentation on Classification of drugs and how drugs are used. A seminar on "Drug Abuse Prevention" was conducted for the students of Punjab Group of Colleges on 15 th March 2011, from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm. The seminar was held by Aghaz-e-Nau in collaboration with Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) and Punjab Group of Colleges. Mr. Altaf Qamar, Deputy Director General, Anti Narcotics Force, Pakistan joined the event as a Chief Guest to grace the occasion with his presence. Comparing was carried out by Delawar, one of the students of Punjab Group of Colleges. Welcome Note , a brief introduction of Aghaz-e-Nau (AeN), Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) and Punjab Group of Colleges (PGC) was given by Hayyab Tariq. A  short play  on “Poverty and Drugs” was performed by the students of Punjab Group of Colleges. It was a story of a poor family. A seminar on "Drug Abuse Prevention" was conducted for the students of Punjab Group of Colleges on 15 th March 2011, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The seminar was held by Aghaz-e-Nau in collaboration with Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) and Punjab Group of Colleges. Brig. Afzal Shahid, Force Commander, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), Punjab joined the event as a Chief Guest to grace the occasion with his presence. Comparing was carried out by Nida Asghar, one of the students of Punjab Group of Colleges. Aghaz-e-Nau (AeN) conducted a seminar on "Drug Abuse Prevention" for the students of Lahore College Women University in collaboration with Anti Narcotics Force Punjab on 9th February, 2011. AeN is thankful to Mr. Altaf Qamar, Deputy Director General, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), Pakistan and Brig. Shahid Afzal; Force Commander, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), Punjab to grace the occasion with their presence. Ms. Shireen Asad, Associate professor & in charge students’ academic affairs of Applied Psychology Department (LCWU) started the formal session. The session started with the National Anthem followed by the recitation of Qur’an and Naa’t by the students of LCWU. A brief introduction of AeN was given by Ms. Shireen Asad.
